A series of hobbit houses for the district youth and leisure centre at Lake Dümmer, Germany.
The district youth and leisure centre at Lake Dümmer wanted accommodation with character for young guests. Instead of standard cabins, the district commissioned a whole village of hobbit houses from TimberTeam: rounded timber houses with curved roofs that create a distinctive, memorable place to stay.
A themed village is a typical series project: the design was approved once and repeated for every house, so all units match in construction, proportions and finish. The Oldenburgische Volkszeitung reported on the unusual project. The number of houses and the installation scope are shared on request.
